To speed up use of the tablets when you want to review anything quickly for class planning.... I have available a label to put on the tablet that is a quick easy guide to what order the skill families fall across the columns on top of the class Skill list page. They were re-arranged into groups a year or so ago for quick assess. Since we are extra busy now figured a little more assistance may help too. Have placed one on Gracie's and on Bri's table if you want an example. Here is an abbreviation key.
Abbreviation (description of skill "family". May be more than one skill in this family such as Rolls equals two columns, one of forward and other of backward rolls)
Flw (follow directions) , Rls (forward backward rolls), HS (hand stand), Brdg (bridge-ish family), CW (cartwheel), RO (round off family), BHS (Pre-back handspring family), Up, (move up), UpD (skill Update)
SPECIAL NOTE- For those students with strong handstands and bridges.... and you feel is close to moving up to BHS.... I have added a new skill to the list for everyone to work on. It is "ROLL" on a barrel BHS. a jump is NOT required. They can push off a mat or?? instead of jumping. It's intention is to build knowledge and confidence of the body action at the end of a BHS. To get this skill marked off the last part of the skill... same as in BHS classes; the body must have tension in it and travel thru a handstand after exiting the barrel before returning feet to the floor. bring feet down while lower back rest on the barrel is not acceptable for mark off.
NUMBER's

REMEMBER WRIST BANDS- review the skill chart to see what skills are wrist bands. Wristbands are a top the shelf at end of parent seating. Consider putting some on your arm for easy access in class
NOTE- the Tick Tock wristband can be achieved with feet going to any raised surface they have too struggle a "wee bit" to get it.
Note: water bottle mat this time is just behind the end of the balance beam on the Yellow Brick road. forgot to mention this in video
Yellow- walk on hands w/feet on boxes (but not on orange)
Green - Rolls on hill
Purple- jump stick 90, 180, 270, 360
Red- cartwheel / roundoffs
Orange- standing long jump- can also do this jump backward and sidewards. Grab a soft something and do the backward jump markoff skill here?
Blue- handstand tower
BUMP ROTATE- Hints
1. ONLY the student who is at station XYZ starts the chain of Bumping....
> coach chooses what will be the XYZ station. (example the uphill sideways hand walk at the beam?)
> it should be the station coach feels takes the most time to do it....
> if needed "make" xyz take up the most time by having students at that station do their task a set number of times before yelling "Bump"
>> example if you chose the roll wedge as the bump station..... tell them they have to do 10 rolls before they yell bump to start everyone moving to next station.
2. ALL students keep doing their stations task until #1 described above says Bump followed by their neighbor saying bump.
3. Got more kids than the six stations-- solution(s)
> assign a station or two for two people....
>> start with two kids at that station and tell "one" of them who will bump out first.....
>>> the other kid stays there at the first bump and is joined by the newly arriving student.
>> from that point forward each time the Bump rotate happens ONLY the kid who has been there the longest Bumps off to the next place
>> aka- each student stays at this station an extra round before they bump away leaving two students there all the time.
4. remember to stop on occasion..... give the WHOLE group an educational moment on how to do one or two particular stations
Example language to use at this moment.
> "Who can do ....... it like this...... when they get to this station..."
> "if you want to improve yourself do it like this........ when you get to this station"
> " if you want "help yourself" earn a future email treasure.... do it like this ..."
5. mix it up.... after everyone gets all the way around back to the beginning... on the next round
> reverse directions
> change a station or two's task example"
>> swap the boxes small to tall direction on the sideways hand walks. Still have them start on small box. (this makes other arm leading the walking up hill)
>> do different kind of roll on wedge or maybe spot backbends there
