This is a "guest lesson plan" by Chelsea with input from George.

Please Note: This lesson plan is in the FRONT GYM and it may switch sides of the spring floor later this week.

Warm Up

**Utilize Tumble Track. Have students wait by the wall but keep them moving and doing something. Think more like a "continuous loop". No more than 5-7 minutes of this.
1. 10 straight jumps before you touch the red mat. Walk back by wall side
2. 10 tuck
3. 10 straddle
4. 10 pike
* this is great cardio for athletes and gets their muscles warm for stretches.
1. 10 Arm circles
2. 10 Spider-Man’s
3. 10 sec Bridge
4. Review hollow hold and say Happy “Hollow-ween” once you count to 10!

Stations:

1. Forward rolls - elevated on rainbow helps students roll easier.
2. Backward rolls - 1 down the hill, 1 attempt on floor. Try straddle it may be easier for some kids to get to their feet
3. Backbends - feet on floor, hands on mat. Bridge rocks on mat if students are nervous. *3 sit ups after each bridge.
4. Handstands - Foot on target, reach to hands.
5. Cartwheel - one foot on each color, align hands, finish with each foot on the same color. Try both sides if they’re ready.
6. Round off - “T hands” & rebound on floor
7. Tick Tock - on taller mat, move to lower mat/block, then try floor.
8. ** IF the smaller trampoline is put in place you can use it, if not skip for now. Jumps - like warm ups, but stay in one place. 5 of each tuck, straddle & pike

If you get through stations and have remaining time, do a circuit having each kid do 1 and move onto the next station.

Class Management:

-If you only have ~4 students just explain 4 stations and do them for half the time (roughly 15 min, 4 min/station). Then do the other 4 the remaining time.
-If you have a full class, use 3 min to explain stations and get started (don’t make kids wait too long, they’ll forget).

Side Notes:

-Keep water bottles on numbered mat.
-I pulled up the diagonal tape, but did not lay new vertical tape. I tried to keep minimum space for beg. to give more space for the other side.
