March Beginner/Owls Lesson Plan 1
Warm-Up (5 min):
Follow the leader with bear crawls, froggy jumps, etc. and stretches to go over body positions (i.e. pike, straddle, etc.)
Stations (3.5 mins each):
1. Backbends down blue wall
2. Backbends with PacMan
3. Tiktoks on wedge
4. Waterfalls on box
5. Cartwheels on floor/with block
6. Cartwheels over beam
7. Handstands with hands on mat
8. Donkey kicks on Trampoline
Circuit (5-7 min):
Safety roll (feet tap blue wall) --> backwards roll off PacMan --> backwards roll down wedge --> backwards roll across block --> front roll over block --> front roll on beam --> front roll across mat
Extra Activity (8-10 min):
Show and Tell (go one at a time and let the kids pick a skill they want to show you and have them try to explain it to everyone – this helps make sure they are understanding the skills). If smaller class or have extra time after Show and Tell, Simon Says with body positions/skills.
