Ninja Lesson Plan June 6/9/25 - 6/22/25

Warm up:

Little bit of cardio then stretches. Since we're not doing bridges in class this week, make sure kiddos roll out wrist and ankles, then go up in a bridge ( lil - just doing tables) during stretches (esp green up who are doing bhs)

Stations (2.5 min each/Lil 1.5min)

Rig Side:

  1. Wall: 

tic tac/tic tac combos; up wall and down pole

  1. Rig: 

Pick b/w rings, rope, net, etc. 

  1. Trampoline: 

Lil and white: shapes (primarily tuck and straddle); yellow: bhs, front flip; green: bhs, front flip, back flip, fhs; blue: layouts or twisting; purple: twisting

  1. Handstands: 

 Lil: donkey kicks; White: HS; Yellow: HS holds; Green: HS Walks/HS Rolls; Blue: Backward extension; Purple: HS Pushups

  1. Workout station:

 close to the fences; pushups, situps, lemon squeezers, russian twists, etc. Pick something for that level that will be a little challenging (ex: situps might be challenging for ninja white, but shouldn’t be hard for ninja green, so give green v-ups)

  1. Combos on floor!

 Lils can do spin steps or work cartwheel front roll on floor (if able to safely do front roll on floor)

Bar Side:

  1. Bar:

 Lil ninja: big swings, window escapes; white: regrips or window escapes; yellow: pullovers or window escape 180s; green: pullover cast 180/360; blue: pullover cast 360 regrip or flying gainers; purple reverse flyaway

  1. Vaults!

 Pick vaults from their level. Lots of kids stick to the same few vaults, so try to make them venture out into different ones. 

  1. Kicks:

 Lil: round kick and punches; white: round, hook; yellow: pop 180 round/hook, butterfly; green: tornado; blue: 540; purple: cheat 720

  1. Floor skills:

 Lil/White: Cartwheels; Yellow: macaco; Green: Round offs; Blue: Gumbis/TDR or tucks; Purple: A-twist/B-twist

  1. Wedge:

 Lil: Front rolls; White: Front/Back rolls; Yellow: Backwards extension roll; Green: BHS down wedge, Aerials off top, backward extension on floor, arabian dive roll; Blue: Tucks off end, arabians down; Purple: arabians, standing tucks on floor

  1. Jumps: 

Lil/White: Precision jumps; Yellow +: Ghost steps! We haven’t really worked these before, so be sure to watch the video :)

End Activity:

1st week: work on combos, workout at end

 2nd week: Quest!
