Warm up: the color game. Have the kids do an exercise like jump up and down, froggy jumps, bear curls, etc then yell out of color and they have to get to that color as fast as they can. You can also show the kids this week the caterpillars that have turned into butterflies if they haven't seen them already. I will be releasing them probably on Friday.

Number stations

  1. Gather up that chicken! Swing on the rings use your feet to grab the chicken and bring the chicken up to the rings as high as you can. They can also try to do their gargoyle hang. The goal is to stretch up as far as we can.
  2. There's a snake in my boots. Have them ski jump over the snake.
  3. Forward tumbleweed roll. Have them practice their forward roll on the velcro line. For bunnies and for me and my grown up there is a wedge mat off to the side if they need it but we're going to try to get some rolls on the floor.
  4. Donkey kicks. Have them place their hands on the rainbow mat and kick those feet up like a donkey.
  5. Roll like a snake. In the foam pit on the cheer floor have them do log rolls across it just be careful that we don't roll out.
  6. Get that chicken back to its eggs. They are going to hold the rubber chicken face towards the little ball pit and then they're going to jump up we then squat down we do a safety rock on to the wedge mat and then we stand up jump in the air and then toss the chicken into the foam pit. Use the chicken in their hand so that they can make sure they're not using their hands to try to stand up This will help with standing up after rolls and core muscle and a lot more.

Color Stations:

Yellow: we're going to walk up the beam and there's a little horse that we're going to step over. If the horse gets in the way for the little ones you can take it off.

Blue: Seat drops

Green: tumbleweed backwards roll down the mat.

Orange: practicing our pullovers. When you cannot spot them just have them hold the bar and have them walk their feet up the wedge mat as high as they can. If you're able to spot them have them walk their feet up the wedge mat doing a pool overflip over and then finishing in a nice front support.

Red: cartwheels. Use the hula hoops for their feet to work on the lunge and we're going to try to practice the cartwheel without the hand block. The bunnies and the cubs can use the hand block but I want everyone else to try it without. I've also put color-coded hats there so that we can see where our hands need to go to face towards. Have them try to get there feet at least over to the yellow circle without touching the hats. I put the purple mat down there so that you can use it to put hands on for a visual.

Purple: lasso up that horse. Stand in the big hula hoop use the smaller hoops to lasso throw onto the small horse.
