Hi Woodland Crew,

Welcome to part 2 of Treasure Hunt at the Treehouse!

For warm up we are going to play a little pirate rock music! I have placed a bin of rhythm sticks by the trampoline. Use the rhythm sticks to make music. They can clap them together, switch back and forth, tap above their head, use as drumsticks etc.. be creative and have fun! Have them up and moving while playing their pirate rock. Don't forget to remind them that they are not weapons :)

Use fun key words like:

• A hoy mates
• Gold de blooms
• Spy glass
• Eyes on Captain
• Treasure Hunt

There are so many fun words and ways to get the kids excited and engaged. The wedge mat can become a pirate ship and the beam a Plank. Have fun. Use the pirate theme but also don't forget to use their woodland crew names. For example : Raccoon eyes on Captain!

An extra game ideas: I SPY ( Use hands to make a pirate spy glass) and Simon Says (Captain Says)

There are coloring pages, stickers and Mail time letters available to handout. If you have a new kid in class please handout the first day gymnastics certificate. There is one for each level/animal.
