> Bridge kick over family OR Pre-Backhandspring family
. Bridge- tick tocks, water falls, kick overs etc
> Pre-Backhandspring - bounce both feet in bridge.... squeezing Bum to eventually lift it upward, followed by thighs, followed by shins then toes to Handstand

Parent Talking points.......
> so and so is getting the idea of rising up to handstand like end of a future BHS.... Just got squeeze core of the back (bum) more as rising to HSstand
> so and so is working up toward tick tock tightly....
> this whole station builds so many future skills

Round off to stomach
>use the small gel rectangles on each side of Pink line to encourage the slight reach around of second hand in a round off (Red on right side of Pink, Other on left side). First hand and foot ON the pink line
. Variation FLAMINGO START(not mentioned in video) stand on one leg with tumble leg up like a Flamingo.... arms over head..... begin to fall forward.... as fall accelerates step on into the skill.

NOTE- Have kids keep re-positioning wedge so it does not slide into wall behind it.... Tip of wedge goes 4"-ish past over the green Velcro line

Parent Talking points.......
> Round off is most important backward skill of all back tumbling... so and so is getting better- were working to improve hand position.. it is actually very important

PEDESTALS

Blast Off skill on pedestals

BLAST OFF

[BLAST]- hold each position long enough to spell "Blast"  Goal is to have NO STEPPING TO FLOOR eventually except to move to the T-

B= Tuck hold (hold self in a big ball position- head up. knee's higher than belly button
L= Pike hold- AKA a letter "L"... extend legs out to Pike... again eventually toes higher than belly buttonpush bum from L on up to a stand on floor behind pedestals... eventually no stand but continue right to A
A= Capital A bum is the top of the letter (momentary hold with bum in air; legs straddled)
S= Straddle support.. legs on inside or outside of arms eventually outside is the goal
T=  .. Put one foot on pedestal and LEAN ON THAT FOOT....  kid rises to stand as if the pedestals are a base underneath of a X (x=tube of rocket, chimney, etc- your choice) and swings arms up forward  and over head as they rise to a stand making sure to stay INSIDE the (x) on the way up.. make Letter Tee... aka at top they make a Tee with arms

[OFF- jump off]
Can then jump off HIGH, landing barely outside of their X.
> They should land millimeters from X in front or back.

NOTE:
(1)- JUMP HIGH/LAND CLOSE is highly important
.... a distant jump can push the pedestals (or a someday human partner) over and the top can fall on top of pedestals/partners as their support collapses, crumbles/falls over...
(2)- CHOOSE YOUR PEDESTALS WISELY to compensate for skill level of kids to prevent injury

[OFF spelled-&-jump] hold each position long enough to say "Blast"

O= Tuck hold again but smaller with head down and back hunched up a little
F= Fancy L- Pike hold with one leg in butterfly position (Passe') ... aka... "F"ancy L
F= repeat other leg hold then stand in back on floor then mount and.. Jump off as described above

Parent Talking points.......
> so and so is getting stronger on pedestals... these positions are fun awesome way to work strong leg positions for cheer or dance jumps... and even Partnering Acrobatics like we do here and they do in college too...

Here is the lesson plan for KINDER OWLS. It has its own lesson plan spot as well but wanted to attach the video link here as well- Andrea
