This program is designed to provide an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in a movement program as a recreational activity in addition to other therapies. We will combine sensory, gross motor and gymnastics activities which will improve strength, flexibility, balance, direction following, and confidence in the student as well as in social settings.
Our Adaptive Gymnastics classes are thoughtfully designed for children ages 3 and up who benefit from a more individualized approach to movement and learning. These classes are ideal for children with moderate challenges such as developmental delays, attention deficits, autism, sensory sensitivities, coordination difficulties, or a fear of movement. Each session focuses on building confidence, body awareness, strength, and coordination in a safe and encouraging environment tailored to meet each child’s unique needs.
In classes for ages 7 and up, a parent or adult may be asked to participate depending on the support needed. All participants must have a parent or guardian remain in the building during class, regardless of age.
We believe every child deserves the chance to grow and succeed at their own pace—and these classes provide just that.
We Approach Challenges by being brave, trying new skills, and not giving up when things get hard. Our coaches help students stay positive and remind them that mistakes are just part of learning.
We Build Confidence as we practice, improve, and start to believe in what we can do. With our coaches cheering us on, we feel proud of every step forward and excited to keep growing.
We Celebrate Success by recognizing our progress, whether it’s a tiny win or a big achievement. At OSA, we cheer for each other, have fun reaching our goals, and enjoy every moment of the journey!
